Resolving Crawl Space Issues in Temple Hills, MD
Challenge
A homeowner in Temple Hills, MD, was facing significant concerns with sagging floors and a persistent unpleasant odor coming from their crawl space. These issues not only raised doubts about the structural safety of their home but also created worry about the potential impact on indoor air quality. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the sagging floors were due to inadequate support in the crawl space, while the odor stemmed from moisture and poor conditions in the area.
Solution
To address these problems, NV Waterproofing & Foundation Repair designed a comprehensive solution. We stabilized the sagging floors by installing a new supplemental beam supported by SmartJack® adjustable steel columns, ensuring the home’s structural integrity. To resolve the odor and transform the crawl space, we carried out a full crawl space encapsulation using our advanced CleanSpace™ system. Additionally, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to regulate humidity, preventing future moisture issues and improving air quality. These targeted repairs provided the homeowner with a safe, dry, and odor-free living environment, offering peace of mind and long-term protection for their Temple Hills property.
