A homeowner in Nokesville, VA, was dealing with a dirty, damp crawl space that was causing significant concerns. NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair provided a complete crawl space encapsulation solution to tackle the problem. We began by installing a Super Sump Pump with an exterior discharge line to efficiently remove any water entering the crawl space. To ensure the system would function even in freezing conditions, we added an IceGuard to prevent water backup in the discharge line. Next, we installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to maintain low humidity levels and keep the crawl space dry year-round. Finally, we encapsulated the entire crawl space with a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, a durable liner designed to seal out moisture and protect the home from future water issues.
The results were transformative. The crawl space was no longer a damp, dirty problem area but a clean, dry, and protected space. The homeowner was thrilled with the outcome, knowing their home was now healthier, more energy-efficient, and safeguarded against future moisture problems.
