Basement and Foundation Repair in Fulton, MD

A homeowner in Fulton, MD had been dealing with water in the basement after several heavy rainstorms moved through the area over the last few weeks. Each storm brought more concern as rainwater continued finding its way into the basement. The homeowner wanted to stop the water intrusion before finishing the space and turning it into a comfortable area for the family to relax and enjoy.

The homeowner contacted NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a full inspection. During the inspection, our design specialist found that water was entering through the foundation walls. Large cracks caused by foundation settlement had created easy access points for rainwater, allowing moisture to seep into the basement during storms. To properly fix the issue, the home needed both foundation stabilization and a complete basement waterproofing system.

Our team installed push piers around the foundation to address the settlement and help stabilize the home. Once the foundation concerns were addressed, we installed a full interior waterproofing system to manage water and protect the basement from future intrusion.

The waterproofing system included WaterGuard® interior drainage to capture water along the perimeter and direct it to the sump pump system. We also installed CleanSpace® vapor barrier along the basement walls to help control moisture and create a cleaner, brighter space. For reliable pumping protection, we installed a TripleSafe™ sump pump system with a backup battery, giving the homeowner added peace of mind during heavy rain and power outages. IceGuard® was also installed on the discharge line to help prevent backups if the line freezes or becomes blocked.
