Basement Waterproofing and Foundation Settlement repair in Fulton, MD
Challenge
After several heavy rainstorms moved through Fulton, MD, a homeowner began noticing water entering their basement. The repeated leaks made the space feel unreliable and raised concerns about moisture damage, foundation problems, and whether the basement could safely be finished in the future.
During a full inspection, NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair found that the water was entering through the foundation walls. Large cracks caused by foundation settlement had created openings where rainwater could seep into the basement during storms. Before the homeowner could move forward with finishing the basement, the foundation needed to be stabilized and the water intrusion needed to be addressed with a long-term solution.
Solution
NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair installed push piers around the foundation to help stabilize the home and address the settlement that caused the cracking. Once the foundation was supported, our team installed a complete basement waterproofing system to help keep the space dry during future storms.
The system included WaterGuard® interior drainage to collect water along the basement perimeter and direct it to the sump pump. CleanSpace® vapor barrier was installed along the foundation walls to help control moisture and create a cleaner, brighter appearance. A TripleSafe™ sump pump system with a backup battery was added for dependable pumping protection, even during power outages. IceGuard® was also installed on the discharge line to help prevent water from backing up if the line freezes or becomes blocked.
With the foundation stabilized and the waterproofing system in place, this Fulton, MD basement is now dry, protected, and ready to be finished. The homeowner was happy to know they could turn the basement into an additional living space without worrying about future water intrusion or foundation settlement.
