We addressed a customer's concern regarding a noisy sump pump during operation. To resolve the issue, we replaced their existing sump pump with a Triple Safe Sump Pump. This upgraded pump not only minimizes noise with its airtight lid but also provides additional protection against basement flooding by utilizing a battery backup system. The customer can now enjoy a quieter and more reliable sump pump solution.
This McLean, VA basement waterproofing project involved water entering the home through the front stoop and traveling down the foundation wall into the basement. In the before photo, you could clearly see signs of water damage along the back wall, showing where moisture had been making its way into the home. Before the repair, the homeowner was dealing with an exterior water intrusion issue that needed to be addressed from the outside to help prevent future basement water damage.
After completing an inspection, NV Waterproofing & Foundation Repair exposed the foundation wall down to the base of the footer to properly access the problem area. Our team applied a liquid rubberized waterproofing sealant to help create a watertight barrier on the exterior foundation wall. We also installed a drain board to help direct water away from the foundation and reduce pressure against the wall.
With the exterior waterproofing system in place, this McLean homeowner now has long-term protection against water intrusion from the front stoop area.
