Job Stories From Marshall, VA
Crawlspace Makeover in Marshall, VA

William N. was experiencing dampness and a musty odor in the crawlspace of his Marshall, VA home, so he called NV Waterproofing to provide a solution to his problems. Mauricio Carvalho, one of our Technical Advisers, assessed all of William's problems and proposed the installation of SilverGlo, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and rim joist insulation; along with more drainage matting, piering, and the addition of a SaniDry dehumidifier. This fully encapsulates the crawlspace, keeping out both moisture and pests, to ensure that the space stays dry and clean.

Old sagging insulation in crawspace. Currently old style " vented" space considering options between encapsulating or redoing under floor insulation. Would like foundation check also have some floor settling/sagging.

About 4 days ago I noticed a long crack on our basement floor which was not there before. Towards the end of the crack there are smaller cracks that resemble a spider web and it feels like the concrete is slightly bulging up along the crack. The crack is still narrow, probably 1/16 of an inch wide. The house was built in 1999 so I figured the concrete would have settled by now but I would like to be safe and have it looked at by a professional. Thank you.
