Job Stories From Purcellville, VA
Crawlspace Repair in Lincoln, VA

When a homeowner in Lincoln, VA, noticed their century-old home showing signs of possible foundation settlement—a not so unusual scenario for houses of such venerable age—they knew it was time to call in experts. The task fell to us, NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair, known for tackling precisely these kinds of challenges. With the age and beauty of homes built in 1910 come certain structural vulnerabilities, and our mission was to address these with both precision and care. After the homeowner reached out to our Customer Care team, we quickly dispatched a System Design Specialist to their property. Our team is well-versed in inspecting and diagnosing various home foundation issues, identifying the tell-tale signs of settlement immediately upon survey. The verdict for this particular case was clear: to prevent further distress to the home's structure, we would need to install SmartJacks—a proven solution for solidifying and lifting foundations to their proper level. Installing SmartJacks isn't just about placing a product; it's about custom-fitting a solution that integtrates seamlessly with the home's needs and environment. The installation process undertaken by our skilled team began with preparing the crawl space. Century-old homes demand a delicate touch, and any employment of modern technology needs to harmonize with their existing foundation. Carefully measured and fitted SmartJacks were placed in strategic areas, ensuring that the home received the uniformity of support it severely required. The transformation was noticeable almost immediately. Not only did the installation halt further foundation settlement, but the floors above the crawl space also began to level, proof that the system was doing its job remarkably well. The smile on the homeowner's face was vindication of our mission: to provide a reliable and long-lasting solution that ensures their peace of mind.

Waterproofing in Lincoln, VA

Recently, we had the privilege of serving a homeowner in Lincoln, VA, who was facing a challenging situation with major water intrusion in their basement. Understandably concerned about the health implications and structural integrity of their home, they reached out to us at NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a lasting solution. Upon contacting our Customer Care team, we swiftly scheduled a comprehensive home inspection. One of our System Design Specialists was dispatched to the residence, where they thoroughly assessed the situation, identifying the root causes of the water intrusion. Our specialist recommended a proven combination of solutions: the TripleSafe Sump Pump system to effectively manage and evacuate water, the IceGuard system to prevent backup due to frozen discharge lines, CleanSpace liner to protect against moisture and mold, and the WaterGuard drainage system to capture wall and floor joint leaks. Our dedicated production team, consisting of an experienced foreman and skilled installers, got to work implementing these solutions. The TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed, providing three levels of protection for the basement—even in the event of power outages. IceGuard was fitted to ensure the system worked seamlessly throughout the colder months, and CleanSpace liner was meticulously applied to all at-risk surfaces, significantly enhancing the overall humidity and air quality of the space. Finally, WaterGuard was strategically installed around the perimeter of the basement, creating an unseen drainage channel that effectively addresses both wall and floor joint leaks. The result? A completely transformed, dry, and safe basement space for our homeowners. No more dampness, no more worrying about the effects of water intrusion on their home's foundation or their family's health. Our comprehensive approach not only solved the immediate problem but also provided peace of miss with a reliable, long-lasting waterproofing solution,

Basement Waterproofing in Lincoln, VA

Recently, in the picturesque Hillsboro, VA, a homeowner reached out to us, the dedicated team at NV Waterproofing and Foundation Repair, experiencing a frustrating issue many homeowners dread. Every time it rained, water made its way into the corner of their beloved basement. Understandably worried about the potential damage to their home, they wanted not just a fix but a reliable, long-lasting solution. That’s where we came in. After the homeowner contacted our cheerful Customer Care team, we swiftly arranged for a home inspection. Our System Design presentation isn’t just a rundown; it’s a thorough diagnosis and conversation. At this particular home, after duly assessing the situation, our expert recommended a powerful duo solution: the installation of our advanced WaterGuard and CleanSpace systems. These products are integral to our mission, designed not just for today’s solution but for preventing tomorrow’s issues too. Our production team, including a knowledgeable foreman and skilled installisers, arrived on scene committed not just to solve the problem but to provide an outstanding customer experience. The WaterGuard system was strategically settled at the perimeter of the basement, uniquely designed to capture floor-wall joint and basement floor water. Paired with the CleanSpace wall system, an extra layer of protection, it guarantees a dry basement even through the toughest of storms. What was once a damp, worrisome corner transformed into a reliably dry, usable space. Completing the job, our team made certain everything was cleaned up and shone like we were never there, but the difference was vast. The homeowner now enjoys peace of mind, knowing their basement is protected against water intrusion, rain or shine.

Egress Window Leaking

Customer had issues with water from the egress window installed in the basement of the home.

We recommended the installation of two new dedicated outlets for the new Triple Safe Sump pumps.

Furthermore, we suggested the installation of a SaniDry Sedona system. This system is highly regarded for its excellent performance in dehumidification and air purification. Installing this would help rectify the issue of egress window leakage by efficiently managing the humidity levels.

Exterior Waterproofing in Lincoln, VA

Our team embarked on a significant exterior waterproofing project in Lincoln, VA. The job was labor-intensive, requiring us to dig mostly by hand. Our first step was to excavate a trench, exposing the foundation wall from the ground level to the base of the footer. We then removed any dirt and debris from the wall and gave it a thorough cleaning.

Next, we focused on the foundation wall, sealing any cracks, seams, holes, and imperfections. We applied a layer of liquid rubberized waterproofing sealant to the sub-grade walls for added protection against water ingress. Once the sealant was in place, we installed a semi-rigid drain board on the treated walls, securing it with a termination bar. To ensure a watertight seal, we caulked the top of the termination bar.

We then installed a French drain system, embedding it in gravel, enclosing it with filter fabric, and ensuring it drained either to a sump pump or directly to the house's exterior area. After that, we backfilled, graded, and tamped the excavated area.

In addition to the primary waterproofing work, we also undertook several ancillary tasks. Where field conditions permitted, we buried downspouts under grade. We also installed a LawnScape outlet at the end of the discharge line and a Gutter Clean-out on the downspout extension.

Finally, to install Waterguard and/or Cleanspace, we had to remove drywall up to 32". However, our responsibility did not extend to replacing the removed drywall. This comprehensive approach ensured that the property was fully protected from potential water damage.

Rich. T. was experiencing water seepage in the finished basement of his Purcellville, VA home, so he contacted NV Waterproofing to provide him with a possible solution to the problem. After assessing the situation, we proposed a full perimeter system of WaterGuard--paired with a TripleSafe sump pump-- along with the addition of CleanSpace vapor barrier, a WellDuct Window Drain, and 15' of additional exterior drainage line with IceGuard. This will ensure that the basement is well protected from any future water mishaps or damage.
