Historic Home Foundation Repair in Savage, MD
Challenge
The owner of a historic home in Savage, MD, built in the early 1910s, became concerned after noticing uneven and sloping floors throughout the house. In an older home, these symptoms can point to foundation settlement, especially when the structure has shifted gradually over many years.
During a professional inspection, the team at NV Waterproofing & Foundation Repair found that the home’s foundation had settled and was no longer properly supporting the structure above. Without repair, the movement could have continued, causing additional damage to the floors, walls, doorways, and other parts of the home.
Solution
To stabilize and repair the historic foundation, our team installed 10 push piers around the affected areas of the home. The piers were driven deep into stable soil and used to support the structure and carefully lift the foundation back toward its proper position.
Once the foundation repair was completed, the home was structurally stable and the owner felt confident moving forward with additional improvements throughout the property. The customer was pleased with the results and relieved to know that the historic Savage home now had a strong, dependable foundation supporting its future renovations.
