Challenge
A customer's vintage home in Washington D.C. began experiencing water infiltration through its foundation. Given the home's age, conducting an asbestos test was a necessary step before we could proceed with our services. The test confirmed the presence of asbestos, necessitating appropriate remediation measures.
Solution
Following this, we implemented a full Waterguard system to address and eliminate any water penetration through the aged basement walls. Additionally, we installed a triple-safe sump pump to tackle potential future water ingress issues effectively. To ensure a thoroughly dry basement environment moving forward, we also put in place a CleanSpace vapor barrier and a SaniDry Sedona system.
This comprehensive approach guarantees a permanently dry basement, safeguarding the home's integrity and the homeowner's peace of mind.
