Crawl Space Encapsulation and Waterproofing in White Plains, MD
Challenge
A homeowner in White Plains, MD contacted NV Waterproofing & Foundation Repair after finding water in the crawl space beneath their home. Moisture in a crawl space can lead to high humidity, musty odors, wood damage, mold concerns, and poor indoor air quality. After a free inspection and estimate, our team found that the crawl space needed a full encapsulation system to help stop water and humidity from entering under the home.
Solution
Before installation, our crew cleaned out the crawl space to create a better work area and ensure the system could be installed properly. We then installed drainage matting, SilverGlo™ insulation, CleanSpace® vapor barrier, an EverLast™ crawl space door, a SuperSump® Plus sump pump system, an exterior discharge line, and a LawnScape™ outlet to move water safely away from the home.
With the crawl space cleaned, sealed, insulated, and protected with a drainage and sump system, the homeowner now has a cleaner, drier, and more energy-efficient crawl space. The project helped reduce moisture concerns under the home and gave the homeowner peace of mind knowing their crawl space is better protected long-term.
