Challenge

Our client had concerns about water build-up in their walkout basement stairwell, fearing that it might lead to a flooded basement. Following an exhaustive inspection by our technical advisor and design specialist, we determined a suitable course of action.

Solution

To address the issue, we proposed the installation of a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system and a trench drain near the basement entrance. These installations would efficiently manage and reroute any excess water, preventing it from entering the basement. Additionally, we suggested setting up a CleanSpace water vapor barrier. This barrier would effectively block any moisture, ensuring a dry and comfortable basement environment.
