Basement Waterproofing in Catlett, VA

The homeowner was concerned after finding damp carpets in the basement of their home. Our technical advisors went out to inspect the property thoroughly.

 

We found cracks in the exterior foundation walls that were allowing water to seep into the basement. To fix the issue, we:

 

  • Excavated the exterior of the property down to the footer
  • Removed all dirt and debris from the foundation walls
  • Sealed any cracks in the walls with a rubberized, waterproof sealant
  • Installed a drainage system along the treated walls
  • Added a French drain and sump pump

After waterproofing the foundation, we backfilled and graded the excavated areas around the home's perimeter. With the foundation sealed and proper drainage installed, the homeowner can enjoy a dry basement.

Hello, Our crawlspace needs some attention. Key points: - Water intrusion from high water table. Needs drain tiles installed at foundation to direct to a sump pump and install a dehumidifier. - Center beam needs sistering and shim replacement as well as some jacking. Some floor joists need sistering and the floors need to be raised in a couple areas (1/4" to 1/2" drop). -Remove old insulation and replace. - Possible encapsulation. Thanks.

My husband and I are looking for someone to take a look at the crawl space and assess what repair needs to be done. We know the sump pump is failed, there is standing water, no encapsulation or water proofing, and an area of the floor gives a little when walking on it, so possible foundation repair/reinforcement needed. We are in the process of minor renovation and would love to have someone assess the crawl space and give us a quote on what needs to be done as soon as possible so we can move in.
